About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre and motivated individual to join our rapidly growing Remote Sensing Consultancy team. The role offers the opportunity to work first-hand with some of the most detailed aerial image data captured on the planet, with unique projects taking place around the world including in Australia, the USA, Europe and the UK.

The main elements of the role will involve managing remote sensing projects and undertaking business development activities. The candidate will be expected to manage projects, speak directly with clients and liaise with the data operations and RS teams to deliver a range of outputs including orthomosaics, topographic outputs (DSM & DTM), point clouds, habitat maps, 3D models and much more.

The ideal candidate will help drive the business forward by identifying business opportunities and contributing to tender activity. The role requires a good level of understanding of the services the wider company delivers and there will be opportunities to deliver presentations to industry via conferences, client meetings and online webinars.

Although primarily office based, there may be a requirement to undertake fieldwork on certain projects so a clean driving license would be highly desirable.

Due to time differences with some international projects, there may be a requirement to work outside of core hours to deliver projects on time.

For the right candidate there may be opportunities for progression within the role itself as well as progression into other areas of APEM’s business.

About you

Knowledge of aerial data capture, photogrammetric workflows and experience working with LiDAR data would be highly desirable. As would experience undertaking image analyses tasks such as image classification, stereo feature collection and topographic mapping.

An engineering background with knowledge of field surveys and topographic mapping requirements would be advantageous but not essential for this role.
